What You Can Expect
Regular visits to your veterinarian are the most efficient way to monitor your pet's health and enable early detection of disease. When found early, most diseases can be addressed more easily and more affordably. An annual exam at a minimum is necessary for your veterinarian to provide prescription products, but if concerns arise, it's always best to call your clinic and work with the staff to determine if an appointment is the best choice.
During your Annual Wellness Exam, the veterinarian will examine all of external body systems. An adept and thorough physical exam should, and can be accomplished, without the pet feeling uncomfortable from unfamiliar formality. Subtlety is the key to your pet’s positive experience during their visit. Examination of the eyes, ears, haircoat, lymphatic system, musculoskeletal system, cardio-respiratory system, and abdomen can be thoroughly accomplished during what may look and feel like petting. Dental and oral examination can be quick and thoroughly accomplished by lifting the lips during facial pets and visualizing the oral cavity while they enjoy gobbling a treat. Usually a rectal temperature is not indicated unless your pet is sick, so share as much information as you can during these visits. A brief, general summary of notable findings is discussed with you, and detailed notes are charted for long-term reference.
Follow-up visits are facilitated by our experienced team of Certified Technicians, who will administer vaccines, provide nail trims, and address any concerns you may have.

If you grew up in the ’80s or ’90s, then you know the highlight of staying home sick from school was watching The Price is Right. For over 30 years, Bob Barker signed off with, “Help control the pet population. Have your pet spayed or neutered.” But besides the fact that Bob said so, just why should you spay or neuter your pet?
Yes, population control is an obvious and vital reason to sterilize your pet. The most important reasons we will discuss with you are directly related to the health of your pet. Uterine and ovarian cancers, breast tumors, and uterine infection (pyometra), testicular cancer, and prostate cancer can all be fatal, costly, and all can be avoided.

- Initial visit with your veterinarian for examination and consultation regarding nutrition, behavior, spay/neuter, parasitic prevention, and breed predilection.
- FelV/FIV Test: Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) is one of the most common and potentially fatal infectious diseases affecting the bone marrow of cats. Feline Immunodeficiency Virus: FIV is a retrovirus that can weaken a cat's immune system, similar to HIV in humans.
- (2) FeLV Vaccines: Kittens require a total of two FeLV vaccines, starting after 6 weeks of age, given every3-4 weeks.
- (2) FVRCP vaccines: The FVRCP vaccine is a core combination vaccine that protects cats from three highly contagious feline diseases. Kittens require a total of two FVRCP vaccines, starting after 6 weeks of age, given every3-4 weeks:
- Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR): Also known as feline herpesvirus type 1 (FHV-1), this virus causes upper
- respiratory infections.
- Feline Calicivirus (C): A major cause of upper respiratory infections in cats.
- FelinePanleukopenia (P): Also known as feline distemper or feline parvo, this virus is very contagious and can be fatal.
- Rabies vaccine: The Rabies vaccine is a core vaccine that protects cats from a fatal viral disease that affects the central nervous system. Kittens require one Rabies vaccine after 14 weeks of age.
