WELLNESS + SICK PATIENT EXAMS

Our team hopes you will gift us the opportunity to provide ongoing services to you and your furry loves ones. Preventative services such as annual wellness exams and vaccinations present us the opportunity to monitor your pet's health long-term and detect symptoms of illness or disease early. We offer consultations for all types of medical problems that your pet may experience over the course of their life and hope to keep a constant dialogue open when forming a treatment plan. From your new puppy or kitten, to dental or behavioral issues, through dermatological and orthopedic problems, to neurological and chemotherapy consults; we are here for your pet. We lead with compassion and look forward to building our relationship with you and your furry family members.

DENTISTRY

Dental health is an integral aspect of your pet's well being and dental care comes in many forms. Regular monitoring and proper nutrition choices are our first line of defense against dental disease, but most dogs and cats will require one or more in-depth dental procedures in their lifetime. When that time comes, our experienced staff paired with state-of-the-art equipment provide thorough dental cleanings, address oral trauma and perform complicated tooth extractions to help keep your pet to great health.

DIAGNOSTICS

Our hospital is equipped with digital radiography (including dental radiographs), ultrasonography, and equipment for blood and urine analysis. We perform most chemistry panels in-house and utilize a network of sophisticated lab technology for extensive analysis when necessary.  Decades of experience in the clinical setting has prepared our staff to guide you through the fascinating world of diagnostics and select the most advantageous test and tools for the query at hand.

GENERAL SURGERY

Our veterinarians regularly perform routine surgeries including lump removals, spay and neuter procedures, laceration repairs, and more. If needed, our doctors are capable of operating in emergency abdominal, ophthalmic, and amputation surgeries. We understand that finding yourself in a situation where your pet requires surgery is stressful - we are here to walk you through the process from start to finish.

SPECIALTY SURGICAL SERVICES

For orthopedic (ie TPLO surgery, patellar luxation surgery) or complicated soft tissue surgery (ie soft palate resection, tie back), we work closely with Dr. Darren Imhoff, owner of Roaring Fork Veterinary Surgery. We offer diagnostics, surgical consultations, and operative appointments here at CAH or at Dr. Imhoff's new surgical facility located in Carbondale. Dr. Imhoff is board-certified through the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Board certification ensures the highest level of expertise and specialized training. Dr. Imhoff is experienced with complicated surgical cases, uses state-of-the-art equipment, and stays current on the latest advances and research in veterinary surgery.

FELINE FRIENDLY

We are proud to offer a cat-only exam room equipped with toys, treats, and tunnels for our feline friends. Designing an exclusive exam room for cats helps reduce their stress from the environment, allowing our staff to examine and treat them effectively with as little stress as possible.

EMERGENCY SERVICES

If your pet experiences a daytime emergency, our team works diligently to incorporate high-priority patient care into our schedule as quickly as possible. We know that urgent situations are accompanied by confusion, fear, and concern. Your pet's health is our top priority and communication with you is a close second. You can expect to be integrally involved throughout the care of your pet and given ample opportunity to define your comfort zone and make budgetary decisions along the way.

If you experience an urgent situation after 5:30 pm, our clinic will be closed and we will direct you to one of the 24-hour clinics in our area that will provide you quality medical care any time of the day or night.
